Apple not allowing people in Singapore to buy music from the Apple iTunes store will cause apple to lose its potential customer, encouragement of more piracy to the Singaporeans and Asians would be angry and might want to challenge Apple.
With not allowing people in Singapore to buy music, books, and movies straight from the Apple iTunes Store customers would be less attracted to using their products. Customers would find it a nuisance that they are not able to get what they want directly from the iTunes store which is meant for Apple products. These people would then bear hatred towards Apple's product and may not want to use it again. These people may then influence people around them to also not use Apple products.
Apple not allowing people in Singapore to buy music, books and movies straight from the Apple iTunes Store would encourage more piracy. Since these people would not be able to get what they want from the iTunes store they would look for another source. The other source would more likely be an illegal download source as these users were already rejected access to the iTunes store once thus they may not want to spend money on their downloads anymore. Thus, Apple’s decision would encourage more piracy.
Apple not allowing people in Asia to buy music, books and movies straight from the Apple iTunes Store would let Asians see the opportunity to challenge Apple. Since Asian customers of Apple are not happy with the blocked iTunes Store, they might easily be attracted to another product. Thus Asians may see the opportunity to create almost similar products to Apple but doing what Apple did not do.
In conclusion, Apple not allowing people in Singapore to buy music, books and movies straight from the Apple iTunes Store was not a very favourable decision to make.
